voter education and voter registration for many years,
thereby building a better community. “As we approached
the November 4 election, the League is working hard to register, educate, and encourage voters to fulfill their most precious civic responsibility,” said Diane Williams, president of the local League. “This year, we have been proud to register record number voters during the primary election and partner with the Kern County Election Department in an effort to increase voter participation in our county.”

The registration deadline is October 20. The League of Women Voters of Kern County will register voters in Delano, Shafter and Arvin on October 18 and collaborate with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc in Bakersfield to register voters on October 19.
